For example, in Spanish you can say 'Te quiero', 'Te amo'... If you used these terms with an inanimate object or activity or anything human, it would not make sense. In other languages it is understood that the feelings that one would have towards a human being can not compare to anything; feelings towards a person overshadow the feelings one would have towards random things...

http://ladyonaroof.blogspot.com/Señoritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14202265182644036967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2056643242840932409.post-17567751857892696372011-02-24T11:14:46.041-05:002011-02-24T11:14:46.041-05:00Señorita,

Because we use the word Love so frequently in everyday life, it tends to get watered down by the time we look our lover in the eye and say it. We use other ways to express that love through romantic gestures, gifts or silent touches but sometimes there needs to be a way that love is spoken and written which hasn't been done and proves to your partner they own a part of your heart others never knew was there. What other languages use more than one word for love?

Thanks for your comment and I look forward to hearing more from you!Handsome Hanselhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16222329759598090662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2056643242840932409.post-72947617957297982022011-02-24T10:36:00.796-05:002011-02-24T10:36:00.796-05:00Great post! In Greek, there are different types of meanings for the word love. I think it is sad that we would use the same word to show adoration for an activity or inanimate object to a person.

http://ladyonaroof.blogspot.com/Señoritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14202265182644036967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2056643242840932409.post-55302050738697924552011-02-22T16:00:47.887-05:002011-02-22T16:00:47.887-05:00Anonymous (2?)

Security is key! Getting up early in the morning to take of your child and allowing the other to "sleep in", doing the laundry, cooking each other a meal, just simply knowing that you have one person in this entire world, that will ALWAYS be on your side, holding you up and supporting your decisions, no matter what! That is romantic and I would never want to live without it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2056643242840932409.post-81434510464190056512011-02-14T15:58:21.487-05:002011-02-14T15:58:21.487-05:00The goose bumps rose on my skin as Ruby fingered t...The goose bumps rose on my skin as Ruby fingered the card for her husband…
it was then that I knew.

Poignant - well written – captivating,

LolaStorm Wenger Chronicleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03706438889269857406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2056643242840932409.post-39406371587636589352011-02-13T21:14:47.832-05:002011-02-13T21:14:47.832-05:00HH--Good for you!
